삶이란 선물 (Life is a gift)

아주 많이 사람이 스쳐가는 이 시간, 세월에 사람 때문에 힘든 상황이 많이 있습니다. 어쩜 대부분의 힘듦이 이 사람 때문에 그런 것이 아닌가 싶습니다.

 

다른 사람을 움직이려면 그 사람의 마음의 마음을 얻어야 한다는데 믿음, 신의가 마음을 얻는 방법 중의 하나가 아닌가 싶습니다. 

 

삶을 살아가면서, 나이가 들면서 현명해진다는 것이 이런 이치를 하나씩 알게 됨으로 현명해진다는 말이 조금은 이해가 되는 나이가 되었습니다.

 

이렇게 현명하게 나이를 먹으며 젊지 않지만 아름답다고, 아름답게 느껴지는, 아름다운 느낌이 나는 그런 하루하루 오늘이라는 시간이 나에게 주어진 제일 값진 선물입니다.

 

 

삶이란 선물

많은 사람들이 당신의 삶을 스쳐 지나갑니다.
그러나 진정한 친구들만이
당신의 마음속에 발자국을 남기지요. 

스스로를 조절하려면 
당신의 머리를 사용해야 하고 
다른 이를 조절하려면 
당신의 마음을 사용해야 하지요. 

누군가가 당신을 처음 배신했다면 
그건 그의 과실이지만 
그가 또다시 당신을 배신했다면
그땐 당신의 과실입니다. 

커다란 마음으로 사건에 대해 토론하고 
중간의 마음으로 사건에 대해 토론하며 
작은 마음으로 사람에 대해 토론합니다. 

돈을 잃은 자는 많은 것을 잃은 것이며 
친구를 잃는 자는 더 많은 것을 잃은 것이며 
신의를 잃은 자는 모든 것을 잃은 것입니다. 

아름다운 젊음은 우연한 자연의 현상이지만 
아름다운 노년은 예술작품입니다.
어제는 역사이고 내일은 미스터리이며 
오늘은 선물입니다.

Beautiful youth is an accidental natural phenomenon,
A beautiful old age is a work of art.
Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery
